Inauguration of Kala Samvad’s Art Exhibition “Mumbai Monsoon” and “Unforgettable Memories”

Kala Samvad | Mumbai Monsoon 2025 | 15th Day Group Art Exhibition | for Artists Branding & Promotion

The group art exhibition “Mumbai Monsoon 2025” and “Unforgettable Memories”, organized by Kala Samvad, was inaugurated at P. L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, Prabhadevi, Mumbai, by Maharashtra’s Minister of Culture & IT, Adv. Ashish Shelar, alongside Ambassador of Belarus in Mumbai, H.E. Aliaksandr Matsukou. The exhibition will remain open to the public until 21st September.

“Mumbai Monsoon 2025” showcases the works of 34 renowned artists from across India, featuring an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, and mixed media artworks. The participating artists include: Padma Shri Premjit Baria, Nidhi Choudhri (IAS), Nandoo Saraswati (MFA), Mukesh Parpiani (Photographer), Dr. Uday Bhoir (Principal), Dr. Hema Thakur, Arti Raj (MBA, IIM), Deepika Shah (MBA), Priyanka Bhise (MFA), Nitin Kulkarni (PG, MBA), Vibhavari Desai, Rakhi Shah, Rajul Mody, Neena Bidikar, Sateesh Dingankar, Rajninath Ludbe, Capt. Raj S Likhari, Archana Bhanushali, Shilpa Rangari, Shirish S. Joglekar, Aditi Sengupta, Samidha Lad (B. Arch), Dr. Venkateshwar Moorthy, Madhavi Joshi (BFA), Asha Phadatare (G.D. Art), Deepak Bachchhav (Patil), Nandni Das, Ajay Sonawane (G.D. Art), Sushma Walavalkar Adate (Sculptor), Kiran Adate (Sculptor), Vidya Gavankar (MA), Vrushali Hemant Samat, Manavendra Shroff (Photographer), and Ramesh Karmarkar (Photographer).

Prominent guests present at the event included Mallakhamb Guru Padma Shri Uday Deshpande, Padma Shri Premjit Baria, IAS Nidhi Choudhary, IRS Prashant Patil, former art director Prof. G. G. Waghmare, Kala Ghoda Association Chairperson Brinda Miller, Uttam V. Jain, Ganpat Kothari, and Kishor Khabia Jain, all of whom lauded the initiative.

The exhibition celebrates the spirit of Mumbai’s monsoon season through vibrant artistic expressions that capture the essence of the city and its cultural diversity.

The event was curated and coordinated by Rajkumar Sharma (Kala Samvad), art curator Nando Sarswati, and Harshit Sharma, with support from Rajendra Bhonsle, Santosh Aadavlikar, Deepak Bachchav (Patil), Satish Suware (Designer), and Bhagwan Kadam. Stage management was handled by Creative Kanika, while photography was skilfully conducted by Mukesh Mehra and Dilip Kagda.
