Shruti Goenka is a gifted artist who uses diverse mediums to create mystic works, each narrating a beautiful and meaningful story. An accomplished artist, she has held 4 solo shows and participated in over 50 group exhibitions and art fairs over the last 25 years.
Shruti’s idea of art is to capture in frames, whatever catches her attention & provokes thought. Inspired by her visit to monasteries in Ladakh, ghats of Ganga at Varanasi, Kedarnath, Temples of south India, Kanheri caves at Mumbai and other enchanting expeditions, the painter in Shruti Goenka urged her to create a series of artworks having elements of spirituality. Her works resonate with one’s inner space.
For Shruti painting is like meditation. While painting she feels connected to her soul which is completely liberated from any sets of rules and finds happiness beyond material possessions and other external rewards. The five life creating elements, karma, faith, mindfulness, meditation, wisdom and the path of self-realisation takes various depictions in her artworks.
A mix of paintings in Shruti’s signature style, making use of various hand mudras, lotus and lotus leaves, koi fishes, water waves, ever expanding circles, made in vibrant colour schemes reflects how an exceptional striving leads to a beautiful outcome, taking examples from nature she reflects how meditation transforms the human system.
Shruti has also worked as a visual merchandiser for a brand owning a chain of stores, and as an illustrator for a publishing house, in Mumbai. She has been conducting art sessions for students of all age groups and has been frequently invited as an art faculty by various educational institutes. Her experiments with conducting Art Therapy Sessions have received overwhelming reviews, she was invited by various corporate groups for conducting the online art therapy sessions for its employees during the lock down period.
Shruti paintings have adorned the walls of several corporate offices, and homes of private art collectors in India and abroad.
